How to Design Your Own Two-Button Baseball Jersey
- 1). Choose the base material for the jersey. Depending on the season (meaning if it is a spring, summer or fall league team) and the cost, you can choose various base fabrics for the two-button baseball jersey. Some of the cheaper jerseys will be made of cotton, while more expensive materials might mix cotton, lycra and polyester to give the material a slight stretchy quality that lasts for several years.
- 2). Select the base color of the baseball uniform. Think about your team colors. Also, try to select a color that another team in your league does not already use.
- 3). Decide on the sleeve length. While many baseball uniforms are short-sleeved, there are no-sleeve and three-quarter sleeve two-button baseball uniforms on the marketplace as well.
- 4). Choose the writing that will appear on the front of the jersey. This might be the team or town baseball name. Along with selecting the writing, you will want to select a font style, as well as a font color that can be easily read against the base color of the uniform. Many people choose white against a colored uniform the team color against a white uniform.
- 5). Place numbers on the jersey. While numbers are usually found on the back of the uniform, some teams elect to have a smaller version of the number on the front of the jersey as well.
- 6). Decide if you want the uniform personalized. If this uniform is going to be worn for several years by several different baseball players, then you probably want to skip adding team member names on the back of the jersey. However, if the uniform will only be worn by one person, then consider adding names to the back.
- 7). Add any additional flourishes to the uniform you think might enhance the appearance. Additional flourishes include items such as league or tournament patches, or "captain" or "assistant captain" designations. These patches and symbols can usually be found on the arm sleeve or over the chest area.
