How to Edit Video From an HDD Camera
- 1). Plug the provided USB cable into the USB port on the digital video camera, then insert the opposite end of the cable into a USB port on the computer.
- 2). Power on the video camera. On the computer, click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the video camera icon. A window loads with all the files currently stored on the camera. Drag-and-drop the video files onto the computer to import the content.
- 3). Open Windows Movie Maker from the "Start" menu, then click "File," "Import" and choose the video files you want to import. Select "OK" and the files load as thumbnails on the side of the screen.
- 4). Double-click the video file you want to edit to load it into the display window. Click the "Play" button. Go to the first frame you want to use, click "Mark In Point." Continue to play the video until you find the last frame of the clip you want to use. Click "Mark Out Point" to set the last frame.
- 5). Drag-and-drop the edited video clip on the timeline at the bottom of the screen. Repeat this process with the other video files to completely edit the project.
