How to Reset the Oil Change Light on a 2002 Chrysler 300M
- 1). Turn the car's ignition key to the "on." position and look at the buttons below your digital display. You'll see one marked "menu" and another marked "reset." Press the menu button until you get to the oil service counter. It should read "0" miles.
- 2). Press and hold the rest button for approximately five seconds; the display will flash briefly and the indicator will reset to 3500. Press the reset button again and it'll change to 5000. Chrysler offers the higher increment for those using synthetic oil, which outlasts conventional oil by several thousand miles.
- 3). Turn the ignition key to the "off" position, then turn it back on and start the car. Press the menu button to ensure that the counter reads either 3500 or 5000 miles. This procedure works for all Chrysler Concorde, 300M, LHS and Dodge Intrepid models produced from 1998 through 2003.
