The Best Place to Stay in Key West With Kids
- Hawks Cay Resort has something for everyone. Camp Hawk, a supervised program for kids aged 5-12, offers full or half-day programs that include nature hikes, swimming, scavenger hunts and snorkeling. Lunch is included in the full-day program.
For older kids looking for a bit more independence, the Cove, for kids ages 9 and above, is a hangout with basketball, volleyball, karaoke, and Xbox.
The marina at Hawks Cay has the Dolphin Connection, a dolphin interaction program where you can swim and play with the dolphins. You must be at least 4 feet, 6 inches tall. Younger kids can still experience dolphins with the Dockside Dolphin program.
Rooms have luxury bedding, flat-screen TVs and refrigerators.
There are nature trails, bike trails -- with kids' and adult bikes for rent -- beautiful pools and a marina. - The Radisson Hotel Key West is a comfortable base for exploring the Keys. It has large, simple rooms that include refrigerators and coffee makers; you can get a roll-away or crib for another child. There is a decent outdoor pool, and the on-site Denny's restaurant has a children's menu.
- Rent a condo through Key West Retreat at Beachside. This is perfect for large families who want to stay together. You have three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. There is an outdoor pool, a private beach and a hot tub. Best of all, when the kids go to sleep, you aren't stuck in a hotel room; you can go into the living room, or onto the balcony, and have private adult time.
