Gaping Holes and Growing Questions in the Bin Laden Story
57-million people tuned in to hear Obama's 9-minute message to the nation filled with more detail than most would expect as well as far too many "I's" for an operation of this magnitude and complexity.
It was a combined effort of many people and if any one group could be singled out, it would be our intelligence groups.
Although OBL's death was a message that Americans have longed to hear for almost 10 years, thousands showed up at the White House within minutes of the word getting out complete with signs and youthful exuberance.
More showed up in Times Square and it all had the definite feeling of 'astroturfed' propaganda...
too staged, too planned, much too prepared! Maybe it was real, but I kind of doubt it.
Within minutes the Obama worship began on every channel and has continued with very few questions, even though the story keeps changing and there appear to be both gaping holes in each of the 7 major versions with at least 20 contradictions within, missing pieces, ongoing debates over the photos, videos and procedures, as well as old stories resurfacing.
Seems almost too perfect to come at a time when Obama's poll numbers are at an all time low.
One of the more credible videos that has resurfaced is that of assassinated Benazir Bhutto's speech in 2007 where she stated that Bin Laden had been murdered.
And then there are the ponderings of former CIA agents questioning Bin Laden's involvement in the 9/11 terror attack at all and now linking the question of why we would kill a possibly unarmed Bin Laden, rather than capture and interrogate him.
It is also almost as if U.
S.
forces obliged Bin Ladin in his quest for Martyrdom.
Versions: #1: There was a massive firefight and OBL was killed during or after it [Obama].
#2: There was a massive firefight and OBL was using his wife as a human shield to protect himself [John Brennan].
#3: There was a massive firefight and OBL was armed but may not have gotten any shots off [also John Brennan].
#4: There was a massive firefight and OBL was not armed but weapons were right nearby [Dianne Feinstein].
#5: There was a massive firefight and OBL was not armed but he made threatening moves [Leon Panetta].

Then over night Bin Laden was buried at sea because of Muslim tradition, we were told.
They were prepared enough even to have a cleric on hand.
Isn't that just a little too convenient? No 'body' to have anyone take a look at.
Plus, since when do we follow the religious practices for terrorists? How about the burial of the Muslim people killed with him? And now it seems that unless a Muslim dies at sea, this burial was anything but conventional.
Then there is the DNA testing time.
Obama told us that the entire event had happened a week prior and that they held back the story because they needed the time to do the DNA testing.
Now we are told they supposedly used some new technique?? How long have they really known about his compound and OBL's whereabouts? And what about the questions and room for new speculation as possible new attacks from al-Qaida surface; the question of the Federal Government using this as an excuse to take away even more of our freedoms; the question of our relationship with and the corruption of our aid to Pakistan as well as the re-visiting question of the need and effectiveness of enhanced interrogation techniques, like water-boarding, that could very well have brought us to this mission? After a week the waters have become muddy and the questions and doubts of the American people are coming to the surface.
#1 Was this a real and effective mission that ended in the death of OBL that ended up as a media nightmare because of this administration's ineptness? #2 Has OBL been dead for a short or longer time and Obama waited to release or create this story to help his polls and re-election? #3 Is OBL not dead, but the diversion was just another in a long list to divert us from the real issues or from watching the administrations other hand? #4 Is OBL's death killing the reason the administration will use to take more of our freedom and rights or create chaos?
