    • 1). Cut the feed bag open on three sides using a sharp knife or a pair of scissors.

    • 2). Turn the bag inside out and wipe it clean, first with a dry wipe and then with some wet ones.

    • 3). Measure the bag and draw lines to make a rectangle measuring 22 inches by 8 inches; use a ruler and a pencil.

    • 4). Cut on the lines drawn.

    • 5). Draw a line across the breadth of the paper, starting at two inches below the top edge. This will be folded inward and will make the flap that is taped to close the envelope.

    • 6). Draw a line across the breadth of the paper, 12 inches below the top edge.

    • 7). Fold the paper across this line. The paper will now overlap with one layer being two inches longer.

    • 8). Fold the extra two inches of paper to act as the flap on the envelope.

    • 9). Sew the two layers along their longer edges so that a pocket-like structure is created. If you like, you can glue the sides together. If you are hand-sewing the envelope, use a bigger-sized needle and thicker thread. Use longer stitches for a more rustic and homemade look.

Use some ribbon to decorate and hide the sewing, if you like. You can also let the sewing show.
