Registry Cleaners, Blue Screen and Other Computer Errors
When it happens, anything that hasn't been saved is lost forever! Still, even though the blue screen error, commonly referred to as the "Blue Screen of Death," may be the most extreme problem, other common computer crashes are just as annoying and potentially just as devastating.
In this article, we'll discuss some of the big whoppers of computer errors and what it is the computer is telling us when they happen.
Then, most importantly, we will discuss what we can do to correct the problem and see it never happens again.
Blue Screen of Death The "Blue Screen of Death" means our operating system has completely broken down.
The microprocessor can no longer make any sense of the instructions it is being fed.
The Blue Screen most often occurs on a computer that has been acting up recently and the cumulation of its problems is one big crash! Namely, the blue screen.
A blue screen error is a huge hint the registry is corrupt and should be cleaned and repaired soon.
Of course, it could be Viruses and/or Spyware that has gotten the registry to this advanced stage of corruption, but at this point, the computer needs to be scanned for Viruses and Spyware and whether or not any are found, the registry needs to be repaired.
Once rebooted after a blue screen error the computer will usually function once again but its performance will be poor until the registry is cleaned.
Slow Computer Startup Probably the first sign of a corrupt registry is a slow startup.
At this point, the registry has a lot of files unorganized and so added time is needed for the operating system to sort through the mess.
A registry cleaning will just about always improve a slow computer startup time.
Slow Computer Performance The next step in the deterioration of a computer's performance is a general slow performance.
When this happens, the computer has trouble loading Web pages and programs and certainly loads them slower than it did at one time.
Again it is the added time needed for the operating system to work with a disorganized registry that is making the computer sluggish.
As one of my customers put it, "My computer seems like it has gotten tired.
" In this case, as with most others like it, scanning and cleaning the registry put the spring back in this computer's step.
DLL, Runtime, and File Not Found Errors DLL stands for Dynamic Link Library.
The Dynamic Link Library is controlled by, or you could say, subservient to the registry.
Therefore, a DLL error is a sure indication the registry needs to be repaired.
In the old days, like 1998, a technician would wander into the registry and try to straighten this problem out manually.
Sometimes the results were disastrous! There is no need to attempt repairing a registry manually any more.
A good registry cleaner will do the job quickly.
Runtime errors are a common occurrence in a PC with a corrupted registry.
They happen because the operating system has trouble figuring out what to do next.
The term runtime does not describe any operation failure in particular.
It just means the O.
S.
can't keep the microprocessor waiting any longer.
File Not Found errors are very similar to runtime errors.
The only difference is, runtime means the operation is taking too long to complete, file not found means the necessary file is not indexed by the registry.
This, of course, means the registry needs to be scanned and have its errors repaired.
As you can see, a good registry repair program is needed to keep today's enormous operating systems, like Windows Vista and Xp, running smoothly.
With older operating systems, registry corruption mattered, but not to the extend is does now.
When you consider how inexpensive a registry cleaner is, it simply makes no sense not having one installed on your computer.
