Horse Racing Handicapping Systems Guide

103 216
Using a horse racing handicapping system to pick winners and make money betting on races is not easy.
While there are as many systems as stars in the sky, there is no one method that easily and automatically picks winners and always makes a profit.
On the other hand, there are methods that can make you a better handicapper and if you are willing to stick with them and adapt them to your track and personal style, they will help you to become a winner.
It's not uncommon to hear someone say, "I bought a lot of horse racing systems in my life, but none of them made money.
" What the few who actually do make money from a systematic method understand is that you take bits and pieces of systems that you learn and put them together.
You may learn something about speed and then apply that to another method that focuses on workout frequency.
If the horse that the workout method picks doesn't qualify for the speed angle, you may decide to pass that play and thereby avoid a losing bet.
The biggest problem that horse players face when they decide to try a system is getting past the idea that someone else can think for you or that there is a magical set of conditions in past performances that always produce a profit.
It just doesn't work that way.
I can't think of anyone who bets on horse races who hasn't searched for a long time for that method, however.
It is sort of the holy grail of horse racing.
If you want some advice about horse racing systems, here is the best tip I can give you.
Try several of them and use different factors from each one that suit your own personality and style.
As you read past performances, after a while, things will jump out at you and you will start to spot angle from the various methods you've learned.
It doesn't happen over night and it certainly isn't easy.
Like anything else in life, making money betting on horses takes a lot of practice, patience, and a little luck.
It is risky and many people never succeed, but for the few who do make it, it is very rewarding.
If you approach it as a hobby first and only risk small amounts of money that you can afford to lose, you'll put much less pressure on yourself.
One thing we all eventually learn is that the journey is as much fun as the destination and handicapping horse races can be very entertaining.
