Downloading Corel Presentations

• 1). Navigate your computer's Internet browser to the "WordPerfect Office X5 - Standard - Free Trial" link ( corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1207676528492#tabview=tab7) and click the "Download Now" button.
  
  
• 2). Click "Run" when the "Open File -- Security Warning" dialog box appears. Click "Yes" when the "User Account Control" dialog box appears. The Corel installer wizard will start. Click the circle next to "Corel Presentations" and then click "Next."
  
  
• 3). Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. Click "Finish" when prompted.
  
  

Opening the "SHW" file

• 1). Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Presentations X5." Click "Continue" on the "WordPerfect Office X5" dialog box. Enter your email address and create a password to register the program on your computer then click the "Submit" button.
  
  
• 2). Click "Continue." Corel Presentations X5 will open. Click the circle next to "Presentations Mode" then click "OK." Click "Cancel" on the "Master Gallery" dialog box.
  
  
• 3). Click "File" and "Open." Navigate to the directory containing the ".SHW" file you want to open. Double click the file's name to open the file.
  
  
• 4). Click "View" and then "Play Slide Show...." to play the presentation file.
  
  

Converting to PowerPoint Format

• 1). Click "File" and "Save As." Click the down arrow next to "File type:." Click "MS PowerPoint 2007."
  
  
• 2). Enter a name for your presentation file in the "File Name:" box. Click the down arrow next to "Save In:" and navigate to the directory you want to save the converted SHW file in.
  
  
• 3). Click "Save." The SHW file will save as a Microsoft PowerPoint file and will be viewable on any computer running PowerPoint 2007 or 2010.
