To many brides, the thought of a typical Wedding Disc Jockey (DJ) conjures up thoughts of a swarmy "game show host" who seem to talk more than he plays music....which is usually a short list of cheesy "wedding songs" that ensure your guests will head for the exits!
Here are a few questions to ask prospective DJs and Emcees, to ensure a cheese-free reception:

1) You should ask your prospective DJ: What do you say and play for the Cake Cutting at a typical Sacramento wedding reception?

If the DJ says that he likes to see the couple "smash the cake" into each other's faces, you need to find another DJ for your Sacramento wedding!

2) Ask the prospective DJ: "What do you say and play when you announce the Garter removal at a typical Sacramento wedding reception?"

If the Sacramento DJ answers: "Why, The Stripper, of course," run like hell.... Cheesy Las Vegas lounge music doesn't belong at a Sacramento reception, your wedding should be cheese-free if possible!

Finally, you should ask the DJ: Do you display signage or banners of any kind, or will you place business cards on your table at my wedding in Sacramento?
