The thrill people get from revving their ATVs across the South Dakota landscape can be big. Home to a number of privately-owned parks and state-owned land, novice and advanced riders alike can find trails to challenge them. Explore South Dakota in a new way as you zoom over the hills, fly over jumps and get wet driving across streams. - Oahe Downstream OHV Area is home to 400 acres of land open to ATVs and dirt bikes. Drive over hills and through grasslands on terrain suitable for amateur riders. Open year-round, there is no trail riding fee; however, there is a small fee to enter the park. Trail boundaries are clearly marked. Take the time to slow down and you may spot a bald eagle as the park is home to a large nesting area. For those looking to make a weekend out of ATVing, campsites are located on the property as well as five rental cabins.
