A camping scavenger hunt may be just the treasure you've been searching for!Here's how it works: Gather a bunch of camping goodies (glow sticks, flashlights, midnight snacks, water bottles, bug boxes, an astrology book, etc.
) and toss them into a pillowcase.
Tie it up with twine and hang it on a tree in the woods near your campsite.
Map out the coordinates with a compass, or write down some clues as to where the goodies are hidden and have the children go hunting for the loot.
The kids will love this scavenger hunt game and will be so excited to find all of the camping goodies! If you'd like, you can add even more fun to your camping trip by taking this a step further.
Once the goodies have been found and the pillowcase has been emptied, provide the kids with some paints and have them create a flag out of the pillowcase.
Tie the "flag" between two sticks and stake it between your tent or camper to personalize your campsite.
