Spotless Pool Cleaning
- 1). Remove large pieces of debris from the pool water, using a leaf skimmer. Leaf skimmers are long-handled nets made for retrieving leafs, twigs and other debris from water.
- 2). Roll the pool vacuum hose along the length of the pool. Twist the vacuum head onto a telescoping pole.
- 3). Attach the cuffed end of the hose onto the vacuum head. Lower the telescoping pole and vacuum head into the water, so the vacuum head rests on the pool floor.
- 4). Drag the vacuum hose through the water to fill it with water. Insert the hose into the hole at the bottom of the pool skimmer.
- 5). Drag the vacuum head over the pool floor to suck up dirt and debris. Once finished, switch off the vacuum pump and empty the skimmer basket.
- 6). Brush the pool walls, corners and steps with a plastic bristle pool brush. Pool brushes remove algae, dirt, calcium scale and films from pool surfaces.
- 7). Apply nonabrasive chlorine-based liquid to the pool tiles, according to the manufacturer's directions. Scrub the tiles with a tile brush to remove water-line scum.
