Hairstyles That Don't Involve Blow Drying

    Double Bun

    • The double bun style works best on longer hair with short, clean bangs or no bangs at all. A gentle patting with a towel is sufficient to dry your hair for this style. A center part separates the hair into two equal sections. Both sides sport matching coiled buns positioned 3 inches toward the central part from the earlobe. Hair pins secure each coiled bun while a decorative barrette or clip attaches to the outside for a festive touch.

    The Body Wave Braid

    • This style works best on medium or long hair. When your hair stops dripping, massage a quarter-sized dollop of styling gel into the lower half of your hair with your fingers. Pat your hair with a towel or let it dry for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on thickness. When your tresses feel just short of dry, braid your hair into a standard three-strand braid beginning 3 inches above the neck nape. Let your hair dry in the braid for an hour or two. Gently undo the plaits, without combining or brushing, and slide a decorative hair pin 2 inches above either eyebrow.

    Flip and Clip

    • This style works best on medium or short hair of any thickness. Start with a thorough comb-through of your damp locks; then gather your hair 2 inches above the nape of your neck as though you were making a ponytail. The hair twists at the base all the way down, forming a straight, single coil, as if you were making a bun. The coil goes straight above the starting point so the tail hits higher on the scalp than the original base. A sturdy clip or barrette secures the straight coil to the scalp.

    Beach Curls

    • Give naturally wavy or curly hair of any length the I-just-came-from-the-beach look without using a blow dryer. The hair is combed in the shower with a large-toothed comb after rinsing the conditioner. Gently squeeze your wet locks before stepping out of the shower and pat, don't rub or wrap, them with a towel after exiting the shower. Work a quarter-sized dollop of sculpting gel into the palms of your hands before lifting and scrunching 3-inch sections of hair from tip to tip. Continue scrunching the sections as your hair dries and apply more sculpting gel for extra-thick hair.
