How to Uninstall Flash for Windows
- 1). Check your system tray to identify running programs. Close programs that use Flash by right-clicking and selecting "Exit" or "Close".
- 2). Visit the Adobe website (see Resources) and download the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller. Save the file to a convenient location.
- 3). Close all programs, including your Internet browser, and double-click on the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller. Click the "Run" button and then click the "Uninstall" button to begin the removal. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
- 1). Click "Start" > "Control Panel".
- 2). Click on "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel window. The "Currently installed programs" window provides a list of Windows-recognized programs installed on your computer, according to Microsoft. Typically, the list is presented in alphabetical order.
- 3). Locate Flash in the programs list.
- 4). Click on the Flash program and click the "Remove" or "Change/Remove" button. This begins the removal process. Once complete, the list will appear without "Flash".
