Girne Music Training Centre and Lapta Ballet and Dance Department: Lapta whish is situated 10 kilometers west of Girne, alon the lush green skirts of the Five Finger Mountains and set in a natural surroundings is a place that somewhat inspires artists. The founders of the Girne Music Training Centre Turgay Hilmi and Gzlem zdegirmenci, along with Mayor Fuat Namsoy suddenly decided to bring to life the 'GMEM Lapta Ballet and Dance Department' which changed the image of Lapta in an instant. The 'GMEM Lapta Ballet and Dance Department' which opened in 2006 and has been operating for over a year, has given children, youth and adults of Lapta and surrounding areas as well as those from all over the TRNC, the opportunity of receiving lessons in the art of Ballet and Dance under the supervision of professional instructors. The professional team of artists from the Ankara and Izmir State Opera and Ballet, come over from Turkey on a weekly basis, and give Ballet, Modern Ballet, and Ballroom Dancing tuition. Highline Air Tours-Tandem Paragliding Tandem Paragliding flights take off at 2500ft./750 m. on the Girne Mountain range and involve a few steps down a gentle slope. Your pilot will give you full instruction at the takeoff site. Then sit back and enjoy the delight of flying like a bird along the mountain ridge including the historical St. Hilarion Castle, down the breathtaking Northern Cyprus coastline. Your flight will end gently and safety on the Girne coast, in our landing site. Lapta Municipality Beach: this beach is 13 kilometres west of Girne and 1000 metres from the main road, right next to the Old People's Home (Huzer Evi). The pebble and sand beach is bestowed with tremendous natural beauty. It opened for service in 1997 after being reorganized by the Lapta Municipality. Transportation to the beach is provided by bus, minibus and private vehicles.Cyprus Holidays Incirli Beach: this is a small sandy cove located where the Lapta beach commences. Along side its shower cabin services there is an array of small restaurant in the area. Transportation to the beach is provided by buses that serve the Girne-Gzelyurt route as well as private taxi services. Gzelyali Beach: the beach consists of small pebbles and sand. You can benefit from all the beach services provided by the hotel which is operated by Club Gzelyali.
