How to Travel and Always Enjoy the Experience
I know many people who hate to travel or travel with great trepidation, The secret to traveling and always enjoying the experience is to change your perspective.
How To Change Your Perspective When you travel, what are you travelling for? Is it business or pleasure.
If your travel is for pleasure than changing your perspective so you always enjoy it is going to be easy.
If you travel mostly for business than the change in perspective might be a little harder to come by.
But with some work I'm sure you'll manage to get the hang of it.
One of the things that human beings love, is stories, especially of true life experiences.
Travel can provide an endless source of such stories.
But that is not the whole secret.
You see the secret is that when the stories have to do with overcoming some sort of adversity, then people really get interested.
Consider the difference in your interest level to these two stories: first one: I am going to tell you about my trip from Panama City to New York City, or the second one, I am going to tell you that while I was flying from Panama to New York a woman had a serious health crisis, she may even have died and the plane had to be diverted to an emergency landing in Jacksonville, Florida.
I bet almost everyone of you wants to hear the second story.
The first one, not so much.
You see the second one involved something out of the ordinary, we didn't just fly with no issue, which is nice but ordinary.
Instead on this flight we had to make a sudden emergency landing, we had to have an ambulance crew come on board and take an older lady out on a stretcher, we had to have the bio-hazard people come on board and clean up the washroom.
We were trapped in our seats for nearly 3 hours and couldn't get up for any reason.
The lady I was talking to was thinking of moving to Panama and I was able to give her some information.
Now the truth was that because I got to live that second story on one of my flights, I missed my connecting flight so I didn't get to my destination on time, and I missed a meeting.
But no one was too concerned, as the story I told was a very compelling personal interest story.
Meetings can always be rescheduled, and in fact no one really minds if you have a good story to share.
One of the things about adversity is that it causes people to behave in strange ways and so if you keep your eyes and ears open you may very well hear or see some very bizarre or interesting things happen.
Now you will have some very interesting stories to tell people about what happened when..
