Sell the honey. Go beyond just selling the regular honey that you remove from the hive. Make whipped honey, honey butter and flavored honeys as well.

Sell special honey containers along with your honey. Sell most of your honey in the traditional honey bear, but you can also make available ceramic honey keepers that people can leave sitting on their counters at home.

Use the honey comb as a selling point. Cut pieces of the comb before extracting the honey and place these in clear, glass jars. Many people like the look of the honey comb.

Make up gift baskets. Combine some of the items and honey you have for sale and place them in a cellophane wrapped gift basket. (Honey, tea bags and a tea cup is just one idea for a gift basket.)

Use the beeswax to make candles. Roll up the wax cells or melt the wax and dip the wicks. Use the wax to make specialty lip balms and hand lotions.

Advertise online by setting up your own website where people can order your honey. Make your honey special by telling what kind it is, such as clover, and by offering specialty flavors. Keep your prices competitive, but offer repeat customers a deal once in a while.

Set up at local arts and crafts type fairs, especially around the holidays. Make up several gift baskets to encourage people to buy more than just the honey. Try making some honey-flavored candy, which is a good impulse item for the kids to buy.

Rent out your hives during the spring as many farmers look for ways to help pollinate their crops. Take one or more of your hives to their farm land and place them in different locations for best results in pollination. Expect repeat business if all goes well from one year to the next.
