Sofa Workshop - 3 Essential Tips For a Successful Delivery

103 40
Few things are more frustrating than buying a piece of furniture, whether from the Sofa Workshop or from some other sofa stores, and then finding yourself unable to use it, because you can't find a way to bring it into your room.
It doesn't happen that often, but when it does it can be absolutely infuriating.
Fortunately, there are some ways to make what appears to be a difficult delivery still work.
Just be sure to keep these three things in mind.
1.
If the sofa furniture won't fit through a door or hallway, then consider a window delivery.
Of course, a window delivery will be more difficult and more challenging, but it may offer a way into a particular room if a sofa just won't fit through a doorway or a hall.
The potential for this type of delivery will depend on a number of things though.
Is the room in question on the first floor or on a higher floor? How large is the window exactly? What kind of window is it? And how hard would it be to open the window enough, in order to allow the sofa to go through? Those are only some of the questions whose answers will affect whether the sofa can be delivered via the window or not.
But for homes with narrow passageways, this type of delivery at least gives the occupants the chance to purchase a relatively larger sofa.
2.
The company's sofas can already be designed and manufactured, with delivery difficulties in mind.
If you already know in advance that delivery of a sofa into your home will probably be difficult for some reason, then you can already instruct the manufacturer to make adjustments to the furniture.
So for instance, you can request that the sofa come with arms that can be removed, or a back that can be detached.
The idea here is that by being able to take off some parts of the furniture, then it might be able to fit somewhere fairly narrow.
Another more extreme solution is for the sofa to be built in two halves, so that the furniture essentially comes in two smaller pieces which can be assembled once they're already in the room.
3.
You could have the company do an access check.
An access check is basically having someone from the manufacturer drop by your home, or wherever you intend to put the sofa, so that he or she can verify if it is possible to put the sofa you're considering in the room.
So this person will be able to look at your doorways and other passageways, with a trained eye, so that you can have some assurance that the sofa will fit, or at least the person can warn you if it won't.
In addition, if that person finds that the sofa will not fit, he or she might be able to suggest a solution to the problem.
If you intend to buy a sofa from someplace other than the Sofa Workshop, check if they can do something similar to this for you, so that you can have more peace of mind.
