NASCAR Drives Excitement During NASCAR Acceleration Weekend 2013
What Is It?:
NASCAR Acceleration Weekend 2013 is a three-day NASCAR fan convention featuring three separate NASCAR fan experiences covering three days in Charlotte, NC. NASCAR Acceleration Weekend includes driver autograph and question-and-answer sessions, show car appearances including the all new Gen-6 cars, the latest paint schemes, simulators, games, prizes and more.
NASCAR Acceleration Weekend begins with the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, includes the NASCAR Preview 2013 all day on Saturday and then wraps up on Sunday with the official unveiling of the new Class of 2013 exhibits in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Friday February 8th - Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony:
On Friday night the NASCAR Acceleration Weekend 2013 gets underway with the official induction of the five new members that make up the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2013.
The activities begin Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM with an autograph session featuring previous inductees into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. After that the activities move into the Ballroom for the dinner and induction ceremony as Buck Baker, Cotton Owens, Herb Thomas, Rusty Wallace and Leonard Wood officially become enshrined in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Saturday February 9th - NASCAR Preview 2013:
The NASCAR Preview is an all-day NASCAR fan festival with interactive displays, Q&A sessions, show cars, games prizes and more. This is the cornerstone of the entire weekend.
This will also be one of the first opportunities for NASCAR fans to purchase 2013 NASCAR merchandise. New items for 2013 include NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee merchandise, new 1:24 and 1:64 scale die cast cars, 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule t-shirts and new driver merchandise featuring 2012 Champion Brad Keselowski.
Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year contender Danica Patrick, and many others.
This event is $20 per person and runs from 7:00AM to 5:00PM.
Sunday February 10th - Class of 2013 Exhibit Unveiling:
On Sunday the NASCAR Acceleration weekend wraps up with the official public opening of the new exhibits featuring the newly minted Hall of Fame members. Public events begin at 9:00 AM with the unveiling of the Granite Marker in the Hall of Fame Garden. Then at 10:00 AM surviving Class of 2013 members Rusty Wallace and Leonard Wood will be signing autographs for that day's Hall of Fame ticket holders.
Where Is It?:
The NASCAR Acceleration Weekend 2012 will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. The Charlotte Convention Center is located directly across the street from the NASCAR Hall of Fame which makes it convenient for fans to take part in all of the Acceleration Weekend activities.

NASCAR Preview 2013 Autograph Schedule:
While the NASCAR Preview looks like a great event which should keep NASCAR fans entertained all day long the main attractions here are the drivers. NASCAR fans attending the NASCAR Preview 2013 presented by Sprint will have to make choices about who they would like to see because there will be multiple simultaneous autograph sessions with some drivers in a different room.
A limited number of autograph wristbands will be distributed starting at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning. You must have an event ticket in order to get a wristband and you must have a wristband in order to get an autograph.
The process is complicated. There are multiple sessions and multiple groups of drivers within each session. Your best bet is to read all of the information over on the official NASCAR Acceleration 2013 site for yourself.
