On this week's episode of Project Runway, the seven remaining designers were given a challenge that, according to their mentor Tim Gunn, "every designer dreams about but seldom realizes.
" They combined fashion and technology using HP TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop Computers to create their own personalized fabrics.
The designers were given one hour to create a fabric that truly spoke to their style.
Then they spent 20 minutes at Mood, where they were each allotted $100 to purchase supplementary fabrics and supplies.
After two full days of designing and fitting their models, the designers sent their garments down the runway.
While the designers were all happy with their own garments, the judges had other opinions.
Jay was dismissed from the runway; he didn't win the challenge, nor did he lose.
The remaining six designers represented the best and worst.
The Judges' Favorite Designs The judges loved Seth Aaron's print and construction, calling it polished and whimsical.
They thought his piece really showed his style and his ability to think outside of the box.
Emilio's dress captivated Heidi.
It was a mix of graffiti and the 1940s.
The judges loved his signature graffiti-style print, and his conceptual design.
The print could work in any size and fabric.
Maya nailed her design.
She succeeded in giving her print movement.
Her print stunned the judges, and Michael Kors even dubbed it his favorite of the bunch.
The Judge's Least Favorite Designs While Anthony offers the comic relief among the designers, he's become a one-trick pony with his designs.
He creates the same basic time and time again, using different embellishments to make the dresses unique.
And this week was no exception.
Mila took the easy road.
Her garment reminded Michael Kors of a striped teepee.
It was reminiscent of a mother's sundress from 1972.
According to Nina Garcia, Jonathan's garment was a "full-on catastrophe.
" It projected a sad emotion, and not in a beautiful way.
While Jonathon stood by his design, the judges could find nothing positive to say in return.
Jonathon's print reminded Michael Kors of a dirty table cloth.
Emilio was named the winner.
The final judgement came down to Anthony and Jonathan.
Despite Jonathan's defensive response to the judges' criticism, he remained in the competition.
Thanks to his never-changing silhouette, Anthony was eliminated.
