How to Get Blue Roses
- 1). Fill a flower vase with water.
- 2). Add a few drops of blue food coloring. The amount will depend on the shade of blue you desire. Less food coloring results in a lighter blue, while using more will result in dark blue roses.
- 3). Snip a half inch off the ends of the stems under running water, cutting at a diagonal.
- 4). Place the roses in the vase. After two to three days, the roses will have absorbed the blue water, turning the white rose petals blue.
- 5). Remove the roses from the blue water and place them in fresh water.
