Honda Goldwing 1800 Spoiler Installation
- 1). Park the Goldwing on a level surface. Open the trunk. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the trunk latches and to remove the screws holding the plastic inside trunk trim panel to the trunk lid.
- 2). Cut out the template provided with the spoiler kit using the scissors. Line up the template for the left side of the trunk with the alignment marks provided on the template and tape the template in place. Repeat this process for the right side template. Mark the holes labeled on the template onto the inside of the trunk lid using the center punch.
- 3). Drill a 3 mm hole on the marks you made in step 2 using the drill and metal drill bits. Repeat this process with a 9 mm and then an 11 mm drill bit. Close the trunk lid slightly. Hold the spoiler in one hand while you work the wiring from the spoiler through the middle hole on the left side of the trunk lid with your free hand. Push the grommet on the wiring in place to seal the trunk. Secure the spoiler to the trunk lid with the Phillips-head screwdriver and the screws provided in the spoiler kit.
- 4). Connect the wiring pigtail from the kit to the wiring for the spoiler on the inside of the trunk lid using your hands. Plug the spoiler wiring into the stock trunk lid wiring using your hands. Reinstall the inner trunk panel and latches with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Shut the trunk.
