So what is stopping you becoming wealthy? Why can't you quit your day job? When will you be richer than Bill Gates? How can you achieve your dreams of becoming financially free?Make sure that you do not fall for these three common myths which are preventing you from developing a millionaire's mindset! Myth One: Lack of Time People often cite a lack of time as the reason for not achieving their goals.
Most people could make more time in their day.
Yes we all have 24 hour days and I have not come up with a way of increasing this! But think about how much time you spend in bed? Perhaps, you could get up 30 minutes earlier every day and spend that time reading or studying.
How much TV do you watch a week? The average person watches in excess of 15 hours of TV a week.
Are you average? Myth Two: You need to be born Wealthy This is not the case as is proved every year by the British Times Rich List.
I am sure that the American equivalent will post similar results.
A significant portion of self made millionaires came from deprived or poor backgrounds.
I am not saying that it wouldn't be easier for you to make money if you could borrow from the bank of Mum & Dad rather than a real bank.
Of course it would.
And yes it takes money to make money, although not as much as it used to.
For example, you can set up an internet online store for a lot less than the original bricks and mortar business or franchise would set you back.
Having access to funds doesn't necessarily mean that you have an entrepreneurial spirit or a success mindset.
Myth three: You need Luck If you are intent on becoming rich via gambling e.
g.
winning the lottery, then luck will play a part.
Most self made millionaires believe that luck had little or nothing to do with their success.
Why? Well the majority believe that they make their own luck i.
e.
luck equates to hard work meeting opportunities.
They tend to believe that if you want something badly enough, and are prepared to put in the work and effort required, you will eventually achieve it.
You may fail a few times on your journey but that just increases the time it takes to reach your destination rather than change it.
Failures are simply obstacles in your path to your desired destination.
You need to go around them or over them but never stop at them.
History has demonstrated time and time again that most notable winners had numerous failures before achieving success.
So now you know the truth behind these myths, what is stopping you from becoming extremely successful and wealthy? Are you just interested or have you got real commitment to achieving your goals? You can achieve all of your dreams once you have the right set of tools.
You just need to be committed to realising your goals.
Ken Blanchard, the best selling author of "The one minute manager" is often quoted as saying "There is a difference between interest and commitment.
When you are interested in doing something, you will do it only when it is convenient.
When you're committed to something you accept no excuses, only results".
Accept no more excuses, believe no more myths.
You deserve better!
