How to Clean Pigeon Feces From Wood Floors
- 1). Turn on the water hose and spray the entire wood area to the point of soaking. Allow this to sit for 10 minutes. This gives the fecal material time to soften up on the surface and loosen from the boards.
- 2). Rinse the entire area with the strongest spray of water the nozzle is capable of. The more forceful the spray, the less scrubbing that will have to be done.
- 3). Use the broom to scrub over the affected areas while adding a drop of dish detergent to the area. Create suds by brushing vigorously with the broom. Treat all affected areas in the same manner.
- 4). Rinse the area by using the same nozzle setting as Step 2. Completely rinse away all suds and remaining fecal material with the water. If there is any remaining fecal matter, repeat Steps 3 and 4 until clean.
- 1). Soak the floor where the fecal matter is with your mop and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. This gives the fecal material time to soften up on the surface and loosen from the boards.
- 2). Add a drop of dish washing liquid to the floor in the area affected, and then use the broom to create suds on only this area. Create suds by brushing vigorously with the broom.
- 3). Rinse the area by mopping over the area and then rinsing the mop and going over the area once more. This should remove all pigeon fecal material.
- 4). Dry the entire area with a dry towel or rag to avoid causing any warping in the wood.
