    Snowman

    • Lay a child's sock down so that the heel is facing up. Flatten the sock with your hand. Fill the sock with polyester batting up to the heel of the sock. Using the portion of the sock that is filled with batting, pinch the sides of the sock and twist them so they become small stuffed ball. Secure the balls with rubber bands. These will be the snowman's hands. Secure another rubber band at the line where there is no more stuffing. Tie the rubber band tight, and then put in more stuffing to make a head. Use a fourth rubber band to secure the opening above the snowman's head. Cut off the material above the fourth rubber band with scissors.

Cut off the cuff of a red sock to make the snowman's hat. Place one end of the cuff on the snowman's head, and tie off a small area of the other end with a rubber band to make it look like a winter hat. Cut a 1inch wide strip from the remaining material of the red sock and tie it around the snowman's neck as a scarf. Get five very small black pompoms and one slightly bigger orange pompom. Glue three black pompoms onto the snowman's body so they look like buttons, and glue the other two black pompoms on the face for eyes. Glue on the orange pompom where the nose should go.

    Ride On Pony

    • Fill a sock with cotton until it is stuffed and firm. Take an old broom handle, and measure 4 inches from the top. Wrap duct tape around that area 12 times. Take the same end that you've just wrapped and push it into the sock. The taped part of the broom should be placed a couple of inches under the heel of the sock. Tie 2 feet of cord around the sock and handle, right below the taped part of the handle. Cut several 2 inch pieces of yarn and tie them to look like a horse's mane. Glue eyes onto the sock, as well as felt triangles, which will be the horse's ears.

    Sock Hamsters

    • Make a hamster out of a sock by filling a sock with uncooked rice. Make sure the sock is completely full of rice, and then secure the opening of the sock with a rubber band. Use glue and black pompoms to make a hamster face. Button, yarn and felt can also be cut an glued on to give your hamster extra detail.
