How to Change a Mailing Address with the Social Security Administration

    • 1). Gather necessary information, including your Social Security number, full name, former last name (if applicable), date and place of birth, mother's maiden name and the amount of your last Social Security payment.

    • 2). Visit the Social Security administration website at ssa.gov.

    • 3). Complete and submit the change of address form.

    • 4). You will receive a confirmation letter by mail at your new address.
