    Soup

    • A very easy food to prepare, soup can pack a big nutritional punch. Many soups provide nearly all of the food groups including meat, grains, vegetables and dairy. Some soups are even available in their own heat-and-serve container which will eliminate dirty dishes. Ramen, although not the healthiest option when it comes to soup, is very popular among college students because it's so cheap. Small frozen vegetable, lunch meat or frozen meat balls can be added to the Ramen noodle to make a more satisfying meal.

    Frozen Dinners

    • Frozen dinners are available at any on-campus convenience store or nearby grocery store, and come at a much lower cost than eating out. Frozen dinners can easily be microwaved in their container, which provides convenience and less cleanup mess afterward. A wide variety of foods from Italian, Asian and traditional American are offered in frozen meals.

    Burritos

    • Burritos can most often be found in the freezer section of the grocery store or even in an on-campus convenience store. Microwavable burritos come in chicken and beef and bean varieties. Burritos are actually a healthy food, containing a large amount of protein. Some burrito products are whole grain.

    Express Pasta Dishes

    • A newer form of pre-made meals is the pasta express dishes. These dishes are made of a precooked pasta and sauce packet. To cook the meal, you simply combine the sauce packet with the pasta and steam in the container. These pasta dishes tastes like a homemade meal.
