How to Open the Panel on a Kenmore 90 Series Dryer
- 1). Insert a putty knife or flat-head screwdriver into the space just above the toe panel of the Kenmore 90 series dryer.
- 2). Locate the metal clips approximately 4 inches in from either side of the panel. Apply pressure to the clips until they release.
- 3). Set the removed toe panel aside until you're finished troubleshooting or repairing your dryer.
- 1). Take out the lint screen and use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the lint screen housing. Set the removed lint screen housing and screws aside.
- 2). Insert the putty knife into the space just below the top panel. Locate the metal clips toward the edges of the panel. Press on the clips with the putty knife until they release.
- 3). Lift up the top dryer panel and fold it back to rest against the wall.
- 1). Locate the two screws at the top of the front panel of the Kenmore 90 series dryer. Remove the screws with the Phillips screwdriver.
- 2). Find and remove the two corresponding screws at the bottom of the front panel.
- 3). Lean the removed front panel against a wall while you finish troubleshooting or repairing the appliance. Hold the screws in a cup or on a magnet to avoid losing them.
