How to Pin Computer to Taskbar
- 1). Right-click an empty area of the Windows desktop, point to "New" and select "Shortcut."
- 2). Type "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:MyComputerFolder" in the field labeled "Type the location of the item" and click "Next."
- 3). Type "Computer" in the name field, and press "Finish" to create the shortcut.
- 4). Right-click the newly created shortcut and select "Properties."
- 5). Click "Change Icon" at the bottom of the "Shortcut" tab.
- 6). Click "Browse" in the Change Icon window, type "imageres.dll" and press "Enter."
- 7). Click the "Computer" icon on the top row, in the 27th column, of the list of icons. This icon has a picture of a computer and desktop monitor. Click "OK" to accept the new icon.
- 8). Click "OK" again to close the Properties window.
- 9). Click and drag the Computer shortcut onto an empty area of your Windows taskbar.

Release your mouse button when the "Pin to Taskbar" tooltip pops up. The Computer shortcut is now pinned to your Windows taskbar.
