What"s the Top Stop Smoking Timeline?

105 32
There are many quit smoking programs to choose from, and each one of them has their own recommended schedule.

Some timelines examples:
* Prescription medications like Chantix suggest 1-2 weeks or 24 weeks time-line for heavy smokers to stop
* Smoking patches recommend 4 to 1-2 months or more
* Electronic cigarettes or ecigs since they are known, do not have any proposed schedule
* Hypnosis professionals say you can quit quickly upon treatment
30 days * Smoking cessation treatment stores often recommend

There are numerous other quit smoking timelines also, as recommended by health practitioners, smoking product companies and other smoking cessation groups.

What are all these timelines depending on? Real reasons? Psychological? Emotional? Chemical? Clinical studies depending on trial and error? Why do they vary therefore much between them, with one method claiming quick leads to the others requiring 24 or more months? Hmmmm. Does not sound like these timelines are also scientific, does it?

Behaviors timelines

You can find certain studies on habits timelines and habits creation. Studies show it requires most of us 21 - continuous - days to learn a brand new pattern. There are no clear studies on the time-line to "unlearn" a routine however. Utilising the 21 days determine to learn a fresh habit, would not it make sense that since smoking is a habit, the best timeline would be 21 days? Well yes, and no.

Connected with the behavior mechanism of our brain is our self-image: who we think we are really.

That self-image has to change from being a smoker to the new self-image of being a non-smoker. The habit change and the self-image change both interact that will help you quit smoking for good. The best timeline that I've found, can deconstruct the smoking habit for 21 days, and develop a new, smoke-free habit for 21 days.

Why cold turkey - and it is short time-line - doesn't work

That is why the "cold turkey" timeline ( handling never to smoke again) doesn't work. It is very painful to exactly what makes us human, for example our adoption of automatic behaviors - our behaviors. It tries to quickly tear us from behavior we have informed our mind and human anatomy over tens of thousands of representatives that we liked.

Fundamentally, our mind and body can go back to the behavior. Cold turkey has magnificent low success rates, since the timeline is too short, and does not handle the smoking habit.

Most useful leave smoking schedule functions

If you're considering what leave smoking timeline is most beneficial for you, consider if it includes 21 days to launch the smoking habit, and 21 days to transition your self-image to non-smoker. A great deal of research points to this because the most useful method, so you won't have cravings and tough withdrawal symptoms to return to smoking again.
