5 Home Remedies to Treat Acne
Plain Oatmeal: Do you suffer from dry, irritated skin? Or perhaps you just have very oily based skin.
If either of these apply to you then try cooking up a small pot of plain oatmeal; once it cools down add a little more water to make it spreadable and apply to your entire face for a good 15-20 minutes.
This edible concoction will also cure blackheads, whiteheads, nodules, pustules and papules.
Lemon Juice: If you are struggling with skin irritation, blemishes, pimples or clogged pores try applying fresh lemon juice to your face before you go to bed.
You can even mix lemon juice with rose water for a greater effect.
Garlic: Are you experiencing problems with boils, pimples and spots? Try mashing a couple of garlic cloves and mixing it with warm water, then apply it to the problem areas.
If you prefer not to smell like garlic you can soak the garlic cloves in milk for half an hour then place the pieces in a pot of water and bring it to a boil.
Once the mixture has cooled apply the desired amount to the irritated areas.
Orange Peel and Water: To fight an annoying pimple outbreak grind orange peels in a pot of water and bring to a boil.
Let it stand until it has cool and then apply the blend to your entire face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
Mashed Tomatoes: Using one whole mashed tomato, tomato juice or even tomato paste as a face mask for one hour can help to control oily skin conditions, clogged pores and acne outbreaks.
If you mix in either cucumber juice, lime juice or even half of an avocado this makes the mask a little more effective for those who can tolerate it.
Now when you are looking to cure some unwanted skin flare-ups simply look around your kitchen before you dig into your pockets.
