      Undergo surgery to repair your Achilles tendon within a few weeks of injuring your tendon. Your orthopedic physician will conduct a graft using cadaver tissue to repair the gap between your Achilles tendon and heel bone to fix the damage.

    • 3). Have your Achilles tendon reinforced if your injury was substantial (for example, if you can't get up from a sitting position). Wear a protective structure such as a cast or leg boot after surgery.
