I just finished reading "WordPress Foundations- 2.
7 Edition" by Jason Annas.
I recently took the leap into blogging full time and I spend many days reading and learning as much as I can about this dynamic media.
I have read many other books about WordPress, but this is my all time favorite.
As the title suggests this is about using WordPress as your blogging platform.
When I first started blogging, I was using a free blogging platform but quickly switched over to WordPress blog on a hosted server.
The author explains very carefully what the difference is between a free blog and a self hosted blog.
He also goes into great detail about how to set up WordPress and how to get the most out of the software.
My favorite part of the book was the chapters that focused on promoting your blog and driving traffic to it.
The author had really good tips and suggestions.
I learned about some techniques that I never heard of before.
The book is written in a clear fashion and it explains even the most advanced topics in a way that a beginner would surely understand.
I also like the use of the charts, graphs, and screen shots that were used.
I am a visual person, so this really helped me to understand the material better.
In closing, I feel this is a book worth reading and recommend it to all bloggers, from the beginner all the way to the most advanced blogger.
Everyone can learn something from this resource.
