Pita bread – a change for breakfast and snack time
It is enough to look at diets and how they have changed in recent years as a result of research, observation and experimentation. If we want to, we can eat better food, in line with very well-defined guidelines for routines that are beneficial.
Take the idea that breakfast is possibly the most important meal during the day. There are people for whom this has been hardly a novelty, but for many others, most probably, the majority, this is nothing short of revolutionary. In a hectic lifestyle of today, so many of use were ready to just jump out of bed, have a quick coffee, grab a snack and rush to work. It was only later that they were so hungry that going to lunch and dinner were priorities. But consider the consequences – if you do not eat breakfast, a wholesome sandwich, yoghurt, toast, some pita bread, anything that gives you energy at the start of the day, you productivity and standard of living goes immediately down. And, most importantly, it goes down exactly at a time when you need it most – during early hours of work. The other repercussion is that when you start eating more in the second part of the day, usually after work, you usually do not do enough to burn the calorie intake by the time you go to bed. This is how bad comes to worse by making you not only less productive at work but also potentially overweight as fat gets accumulated.
A lot can be achieved by highlighting the negative side of not having breakfast and wrong eating routines, but there is also a lot of potential in pointing out to people how to change their diets for the better. Get up a little early to have time to eat sitting down rather than standing up or in a rush. It needs to be a moment to start a day without worry and haste. This will benefit later on – with more concentration (no hunger, no need for pita bread snacks) and productivity.
We are often inundated with complex programs that promise to turn our life around. In fact, the secret to living a better life is often in small decision, like taking time to eat breakfast and playing with ingredients.
