Baby Einstein Birthday Party Ideas

104 27
    • The Baby Einstein Company produces products geared toward children that are 6 months old and up. Some of their creations include DVDs, CDs, toys, baby gear and books. Each DVD has character puppets that portray a story or lesson. Many young children identify with these characters, making Baby Einstein an appropriate theme for a first or second birthday party.

    Decorations

    • Color coordinate with the Baby Einstein hues of red, green, yellow and blue. Purchase balloons in these colors and tie them to Baby Einstein toys, puppets and stuffed animals as table centerpieces. Stuff the puppets with polyester fill to enable them to stand on their own. Download and print Baby Einstein character images. Have the images laminated and hang them on the walls. Cover the tables with Baby Einstein colors or look for a Baby Einstein character printed fabric.

    Entertainment

    • Play some of the Baby Einstein classical music CDs in the background during activities. Ask the adults if they would participate in putting on a Baby Einstein puppet show for the kids. Use a folding table and decorate it with red fabric. Position the adult puppeteers behind the table, giving the illusion of a hands-free puppet. Write a script for each volunteer to follow along.

Find cookie cutters in the shape of animals. Set the kids up at a table with Play-Doh and the cookie cutters. Another party game involves gathering the children into a circle for story time. Read from Baby Einstein books and help the kids act out their favorite scenes.

    Food

    • Young children have special dietary needs so exercise careful consideration when picking out food for the party. Stay away from foods that are choking hazards. A simple fare like goldfish crackers, Gerber Graduates fruit strips and meat sticks are adequate snacks. A caterpillar cake is the obvious choice for a Baby Einstein dessert. Make cupcakes and place them in a squiggly line. Frost the outsides of the cupcakes in the Baby Einstein colors. Add candy pieces to form the eyes, mouth and feet of the caterpillar. Plan on making several of these cakes to ensure there is plenty for guests.

    Party Favors

    • Contemplate the age group of the children attending the party; some party favors may be choking hazards. Place party favors in a red, blue, yellow or green sack decorated with Baby Einstein stickers. Purchase rubber ducks that have designer animal prints on them, Baby Einstein blowouts, stickers, bubbles and small stuffed beanie animals. Fill the decorative sacks with these items. Give each child a felt Baby Einstein party hat.
