Treatment for Panic It may come to no surprise to you, but panic and anxiety attacks can be a positive force in your life.
It's your body's, dynamic way of telling you that something is wrong.
It's a blazing signal showing you that the same old self-defeating routines and cures just aren't working any more, and it's a warning, forcing you to slow down and take a look at yourself and find out what's causing your fears.
Panic and anxiety can be an indication pointing to your longing to feel more full of life or more vibrant.
Using your (sense of panic) or anxiety as a shinning light, to light your path, you can start a process in yourself to root out the old, rigid conflicts and conduct your life in a more fulfilling ways.
Some times fear makes you lose sight of the fact that bouts of anxiety and panic attacks can be manageable as well as self-limited.
A majority of them last from a few moments to a few hours or more, depending on the severity.
Complete recovery from sudden bouts is an expected outcome in most instances, however, problem anxiety and panic attacks certainly do exist, and it can be identified by its on-going, intense, incapacitating, or unmanageable qualities.
The first step toward management of anxiety is learning how to put it to work for you and not the other way around.
In that way, you can use it to expose your repressed anger, your inhibiting dependency, your rigid ways of defending yourself.
By telling you that something is wrong, feelings of anxiety motivate and urge you to reflect upon the things that hurt and defeat you.
It can provide you with a stimulus for making change as well.
It can also deepen your understanding of human behaviour, your as well as other people's.
Anxiety can help you discover your strengths and your weaknesses and once you know what they are you can begin to use this knowledge more productively.
If you have suffered from repeated bouts of anxiety and panic attacks then chances are you're still fighting with that trying to live more fully.
You haven't given up.
You haven't settled for a rigid, fear-ridden existence.
Your will is active and you are trying to find a way to solve your problems.
There are many people that can tell you that you can learn to deal with and overcome certain conflicts that cause intolerable anxiety.
They can try to supply guidelines to help you to understand these causes, to encourage you to work to free yourself from the emotional bonds that unrealistic fears impose.
There are so many people that are caught in these bonds and have been afraid to do what was needed to be done.
For an example, they've been afraid to say something incisive to an insensitive employer, such as: Boss, you know that your satisfied with my work.
But sometimes you raise your voice and shout at me to hurry, hurry, and I get rattled.
That interferes with what I'm doing.
Do you think you could talk to me without raising your voice? You need to know that you can make reasonable demands of inconsiderate friends or family, or confront (diplomatically) a domineering partner, or give a voice to your own ambitions and try to do something about them.
I've tried to say, don't be afraid.
You needn't be intimidated for the rest of your life.
Here are ways you can be yourself and make responsible decisions.
You can work with community-sponsored educational programs, with groups of women and men who have problems that they seem unable to resolve by themselves.
But you may shy away from trying to deal with conflicts, mainly because you are afraid of the panic and anxiety that you may feel when troubled areas are exposed.
You might not realize it, but you may have learned to control your fear of anxiety-by avoiding any involvement in conflict it self.
You may have developed defenses, such as depression and phobias, in an attempt to relieve that fear.
But, since conflict is an undeniable element in life, you maybe avoiding a full experience of living in order to deep your anxiety and panic at bay.
That avoidance is what makes so many people feel (dead inside) and look for artificial high to counter the deadness.
You can work through much of this if follow some simple procedures, procedures that allow you to deal with very small amounts of conflict, a little at a time, together with dealing with the associated feeling of anxiety.
You while learn to recognize those units of anxiety as evidence that a conflict needed resolving.
Specific procedures gives you the courage to act.
When you recognize the success with these procedures, you can encourage yourself to overcome your initial fear of anxiety as well.
And so a constructive cycle should begin to dislodge a nonproductive one.
One should focus on the positive results obtained rather than the negativity of the road that has to be travelled.
While you find resources that you can use, you can use the fact that finding these resources are in fact a complement to your accumulated resources of experience, natural abilities, learned skills, and any other strengths and assets that you posses.
Remember that information and education are the keys to hope and understanding.
