I found out about this campground by worf-of-mouth, and I tent camped there in September 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground is mostly wooded with a couple of open fields. The owners personally greeted us and were kind enough to show us to our site and explain all of the amenities that the campground had to offer. There is a beautiful pond with many huge fish. There is also a frog pond, a playground with kid friendly plastic playground equipment, horseshoes and more.
Pros: Owners were very friendly, even sharing some of their upcoming exciting plans for the campground. It was literally so quiet that you could hear nothing but nature all day and all night. Very family friendly.
Cons: Sites could have been a little more clearly marked, but the owners showed us our site, so to us it wasn't really bad.
Nearby attractions: Endless Mountains Nature reserve, Skyhaven Airport (daily parachuting and airplane rides), Nimble Hill Winery, Historic Tunkhannock, oldest house in USA (nearby Laceyville) and many more.
Further comments: This couple seems very dedicated to the ongoing improvements of this campground. The plans they have for the future will easily put them into the 5 star category. I can't wait to go back next year.
