How Do I Back Up My Outlook 2003 Files?
- 1). Visit the Microsoft Download homepage to download the Personal Folders Backup tool. To go to this page, see the resources section.
- 2). Choose your approximate Internet speed from the "Estimated Download Time" drop-down menu, then click the "Download" button. Be sure that the language displayed in the "Change Language" field matches the language of your version of Microsoft Office or Outlook software.
- 3). Click on the "Start Download" link located under the "Outlook 2007/2003/2002 Add-in: Personal Folders Backup" section of the "About your download" page if a download box does not open automatically. Select "Save File," and download the file to your computer.
- 4). Install the Personal Folders Backup tool by double-clicking on the file and following the prompts. You have successfully installed the Personal Folders Backup tool.
- 5). Open Outlook 2003, click "File," select "Backup," choose "Options" and then choose the Outlook 2003 folders you would like to backup from the "Back up these personal folders files" list. Click on the "Browse" button to select the folders you want, then select "Open."
