How to Get "WoW" In-Game Voice to Work
- 1). Ensure that you have a working microphone plugged into your computer before starting up the game and logging into your character. When you set up the voice communication feature, it will be ready to use by all your characters on any realm or account on that computer.
- 2). Press "Escape" while in the game. The menu will appear. Click "Sound and Voice" to bring up the sound configuration menu.
- 3). Click "Voice" in the menu on the left side of the window.
- 4). Check the boxes beside "Enable Voice Chat" and "Enable Microphone."
- 5). Test your microphone by pressing the "Record" button and play back the recording afterward to ensure that everything is working.
- 6). Choose the "Push-to-Talk" feature under "Voice Chat Mode." Choose a button on the mouse or keyboard to bind to this ability. When you are holding this button down, you will be able to transmit. Press "OK" and "Escape" to return to the game. You can now communicate in-game by voice to anyone else with the feature enabled.
