Every year, millions drive along the High Sierra Mountain switchbacks then descend into Yosemite Valley, California, marveling as the wonders of Yosemite National Park unfold around them. Waterfalls, ancient sequoias and dramatic rock faces like Half Dome make this park a natural wonder. Park services and lodging are located in the valley's Yosemite Village, where you will find a visitors center and museum, a post office, medical clinic and courtroom, stores, a deli and a garage, all for the convenience of the public. No lodging is in the village but accommodations are within a short walk, according to Scott Thurk, Yosemite Park marketing coordinator. - Ahwahnee™ is Yosemite's architectural showpiece, a four-diamond hotel that offers guests the finest dining and luxury accommodations, oriented to full advantage of Yosemite's magnificent views. Guests are treated to a full-time concierge, room service, tea service in the afternoon and a turn-down service every evening. An outdoor heated swimming pool exclusively for guests is open all year. A business center is on site and wireless Internet is in all rooms. Ahwahnee is within a 15-minute walk of the village.

Camp Curry includes 18 standard motel rooms, 56 cabins with private baths and 319 canvas tent cabins. Fourteen cabins with a central bath house and 91 tent cabins with insulated panels are nearby. There are no campfire facilities in Curry Village but grills are available in picnic areas.

The lodge has 226 rooms, 19 standard rooms and four family rooms, with daily maid service. Two eco-friendly rooms were unveiled here in 2010. According to the Park Service, they are prototypes for future eco-friendly renovations.

There are sandy beaches here for swimming or sunbathing, and views of Yosemite Falls and Half Dome. Outdoor cooking is permitted here in fire rings. There are 266 units that accommodate six people. They have a concrete floor and three walls, with a fourth curtained wall separating the sleeping area from a covered patio area, where a bear-proof food storage container and a picnic table are set.
