How to Attach Files to an Email From the iPhone

    • 1). Tap the iPhone home screen icon for the application that contains the file you want to send as an email attachment. For example, tap "Photos" if you want to send a photo attachment.

    • 2). Find the file that you want to send. The iPhone application will usually display image files in a thumbnail grid and documents or text files in a list format.

    • 3). Tap the file that you want to send as an email attachment. For example, tap the thumbnail of a photo to open the image in the display screen.

    • 4). Click the "Send" button with the box-arrow icon in the bottom menu bar. Tap the "Email" button in the options screen. This will open the image or file inside the main message body of a new email and will attach the file to the email.

    • 5). Type the recipients' email addresses into the "To" and "Cc/Bcc" fields. Enter a subject for the email message into the "Subject" field. Type any text that you want to include in the email into the main message body. If you've attached a photo, tap the screen under the image to type the email message text at this location.

    • 6). Tap the blue "Send" button in the "New Message" menu bar to send the email with the attached file.
