A few years ago the H was added to the abbreviation ADD to reflect the reality that large numbers of ADHD children and adults were experiencing hyperactivity as a symptom of attention deficit disorder.

*Those with the hyperactive and impulsive type of ADHD tend to drive too fast and are many times more likely to receive a traffic ticket or be involved in an automobile accident.
In conclusion, we now know that the H in ADHD stands for hyperactivity and creates a myriad of life challenges.
