Ron Paul is the Best Steward of the Taxpayer"s Money
Most people who follow politics know that spending the taxpayer's money is par for the course.
It is extremely easy to spend and waste money that is not yours.
One politician who has been called the taxpayer's best friend by the American Taxpayer's Union is also called Dr.
No for voting no for any spending not deemed constitutional.
He also votes no for any and all tax increases.
This man is Ron Paul.
Even those that follow politics from a distance know of his reputation for voting no.
Interestingly enough, this voting record is despised by many in his own party who deep down have no problem deficit spending, while they talk out of the side of their mouth about "small government".
But a couple things that people other than Paul supporters may not be aware of is every year Congressman Paul returns a significant amount his congressional office budget to the Treasury every year.
This year it has been reported that he'll return more than $100,000 to the U.
S.
Treasury.
Interesting thing is this is not an anomaly.
In 2009 he returned $90,000, and the figures are similar year after year, In fact as reported in 2005, since returning to Congress in 1997, Congressman Paul had returned over 1 million dollars because of responsible and frugal practices.
A little different than say the spending of Nancy Pelosi's office and other representatives! In addition, Congressman Paul had turned down the very lucrative congressional pension.
Is there anyone else in Congress that actually believes in being a good steward of tax dollars? Isn't it interesting how someone will behave with "other peoples money" when they follow the Constitution in all matters pertaining to their oath.
