Summer Red Robin Grilling Parties
We have all heard about Red Robin for Christmas or other dinner parties.
How about a Red Robin Grilling party? Picture this: Summertime, warm sunshine, gentle breezes- the perfect time to get outside and enjoy grilling some food.
Red Robin works like this: The first person may have drinks at their home possibly with a snack.
This person may fire up their grill and have wiener winks.
Wiener winks are small hot dogs that are wrapped up in a dough.
These can easily be put on your grill and cooked.
Set the wiener wink's on a huge platter with ketchup and mustard off to the side.
Enjoy with an ice cold beer, soda or water.
Everyone involved in the Red Robin party now goes to the second house.
The second house can start up their grill while everyone enjoys another beverage.
Of course each house should have lawn chairs and/or picnic tables and/or patio sets available for all of the guests to sit and relax.
Depending on how many people are invited to the Red Robin, at this house there could be another grilled snack.
A delicious item is bacon wrapped chestnuts.
The following recipe is marvelous: Bacon Wrapped Chestnuts What you will need: 1 cup ketchup 1 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 16 ounces bacon, sliced 2 (8 ounce) cans water chestnuts, drained To prepare: Fire up the grill and let it heat to 350 degrees.
Next, grab a saucepan and combine ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
You want to heat this mixture just to boiling.
Now cut the bacon slices into thirds.
If you find large water chestnuts, slice them in half.
Wrap the water chestnuts in bacon and secure with toothpicks.
Put the wraps in a 9 x 13 foil pan that is safe for the grill.
Pour sauce over.
Grill for 45 minutes.
To save time and be able to enjoy the guests, this person may want to prepare the bacon and sauce ahead of time so that all that has to be done is starting the grill and grilling the food.
The third person's house should be the main entree.
This person can choose to grill steaks, hamburgers, Italian sausages or whatever he/she chooses.
With the steaks set out any delicious sauces that are available may be set out for the Round Robin guests.
Hamburgers and/or Italian sausages add the options of onion, ketchup, mustard, pepper rings, etc.
If there are more guests someone can bring a side dish such as potato salad and another person can bring a large salad.
The last house should be the dessert.
If children are attending the party and the person's home/yard has a fire pit this is the perfect time to let children toast marshmallows.
Everyone can sit around the campfire and enjoy the conversation.
The dessert made on the grill can be grilled pineapple.
This recipe is simple and so delicious.
With all of the food you and the guests have been eating, this pineapple is a nice and light dessert.
