The Courvoisier company, located in Jarnac, France, has been making cognac since 1835. The drink comes from Ugni Blanc grapes, double stilled and aged in barrels made from French limousin oak trees. Courvoisier makes its cognac in a particular way, paying close attention to detail. A Master Blender oversees the whole production and makes sure the cognac meets the company's standards before allowing it to be sold. - To make a Napolean's Mexican Winter, pour a shot---one and a half ounces---of Kahlua coffee liqueur into a microwave-safe mug. Add a desired quantity of cream and one shot of Courvoisier cognac. Microwave the drink on high for 30 seconds.
- The Sandy Penny contains one shot of Courvoisier and one shot of Frangelico. To make the drink, pour hot water into a brandy snifter to warm the glass. Dump out the water and add the liqueurs. The heat should create a rich fragrance. This drink is often served as an after-dinner drink.
- To make a Baby Doll, mix two ounces of Courvoisier, one shot of Grand Marnier orange liqueur, juice from half of a lemon and ice cubes. Stir the drink gently. If desired, wet the rim of the glass and dip it in sugar before serving to sweeten the drink.
- For the Black Green Lantern, stir one ounce of Courvoisier, two ounces of Hypnotiq liqueur and two ounces of Midori lemon liqueur. Do not shake; stir gently over ice. This drink is often served before dinner.
- International Affair is made with three ounces of Alize, one shot of Courvoisier and one shot of Damiani. Put all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain into a glass and serve.
