    Update NVidia Drivers

    • 1). Click "Start," then "Control Panel." Click "Switch to Classic View" in the left column of the Control Panel if the option is not currently selected.

    • 2). Double-click "System."

    • 3). Click the "Hardware" tab, then click "Device Manager."

    • 4). Double-click "Display adapters" to expand the category, then double-click your NVidia graphics card, which will likely be labeled as a "GeForce" card.

    • 5). Click the "Driver" tab, then click "Update." Allow Windows to search online for a newer driver, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the driver process. Restart the computer.

    Remove USB Devices

    • 1). Find the "Safely remove hardware" icon in the Windows XP system tray, and double-click it.

    • 2). Highlight the USB device you wish to remove, then click "Stop."

    • 3). Click "OK." Wait for Windows XP to eject the USB device.

    • 4). Click "OK" when Windows verifies that you may remove the hardware, then click "Close."

    • 5). Unplug the USB device from your computer.

    Replace the Rundll32.exe File

    • 1). Insert your Windows XP installation disk. Close the setup window.

    • 2). Click "Start," then "Run."

    • 3). Type "expand d:\i386\rundll32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe" (without quotes). You must change the drive letter that corresponds with your CD/DVD drive if it is not "d."

    • 4). Remove the Windows XP installation disk, and restart the computer.
