Celebrating the Holidays in Northern California

This house in Novato, California, lights up the night during the holidays with whimsical snowmen, giant peppermint pathway markers, fake trees and icicle lights dripping off the roofline.

Novato is located above San Francisco in Marin County, and has its own holiday happenings site. The site reminds residents participating in Christmas in Novato to turn on lights at 5 pm for the "early lookie-loos and leave them on until 10 or 11 pm because it really makes the town look so pretty." They continue, "Please be sure to leave your lights on until Little Christmas (January 6th) as it is the traditional end of the Christmas season."
