So you want to quit smoking.
The first thing that you have to do is set up a plan that will work for you.
You need to do some planning beforehand to ensure than you can manage and succeed with the plan.
Having a plan will make it much easier for you to succeed in your journey to quit smoking.
In order for your plan to work for you you really have to have the desire and right frame of mind in order to quit this nasty habit.
First off you will need to get rid of all your cigarettes in your possession.
Many people like to have a pack around just in case of failure.
Well that right there is admitting to failure and you will not be able to succeed in quitting smoking.
You need to get rid of all your ashtrays throughout your home.
Throw them in the garbage, this will help you get in the right frame of mind to quit smoking.
You have to have the mindset you are going to be a non-smoker and will never pickup another cigarette.
Without the right mindset is setting yourself up once again for failure.
You need to avoid anything that is causing you to want a ciggie.
Do other things to keep your mind occupied and not think about smoking.
You need to know what is causing you to want a cigarette.
For instance, many people light up every time they have a cup of coffee in the morning.
Instead of having that cup of coffee, you should change your routine, maybe go out for a walk or do some other sort of exercise.
You need to be around people who are going to offer you support and help any way they can in getting you to quit.
In the beginning stages of your quitting you won't want these temptations and socializing with certain people will need to be postponed until you are in a position where you can handle having them around without feeling the need to have a cigarette of your own.
Stay away from places like bars if you really intend to quit smoking.
Being around smoking is just going to remind.
Anything that you can do to make your life easier during this period will help you to get the results that you are after and ensure that you will be able to finally quit once and for all.
Once you have the right mindset and are really ready to quit smoking is when you will really be able to succeed.
Quitting is very hard, but you can do this.
