Email

• 1). Open your website email or email program.
  
  
• 2). Click "New" or "Compose" to start a new mail.
  
  
• 3). Enter the phone number of the recipient in the "To" section. Include the area code.
  
  
• 4). Type the "@" symbol after the phone number, and then the recipient's cell phone provider's email suffix. The major provider suffixes are "tmomail.net" for TMobile, "messaging.sprintpcs.com" for Sprint, "vtext.com" for Verizon, and "txt.att.net" for AT&T.
  
  
• 5). Give the email a subject.
  
  
• 6). Write a brief message and send the email.
  
  

Instant Message

• 1). Open your instant messaging program and log in to it.
  
  
• 2). Start a new message.
  
  
• 3). Enter the phone number of the recipient in the "To" box. Include "1" and the person's area code.
  
  
• 4). Type a brief message and hit "Send."
